Dr. Michael Ken Louie, MD

Dr. Michael Louie is a board-certified urologist at Hoag Urology and Urologic Oncology. Dr. Louie partners with his patients on their healthcare journey in the area of general urology, with a focus on minimally invasive, office-based techniques. He has an interest in treatments including no-scalpel, single opening vasectomy, Rezum water vapor prostate treatment, Botox bladder treatment, sacral nerve modulation (Interstim), posterior tibial nerve stimulation (PTNS) and endourology. Dr. Louie’s clinical interests include benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), erectile dysfunction, testosterone replacement, urinary stone disease, overactive bladder, urinary incontinence and urinary tract infections.
Dr. Louie is board certified by the American Board of Urology. He earned his medical degree from Boston University and completed his residency at Ohio State University’s Department of Urology, where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship training in minimally invasive …urologic surgery at the University of California, Irvine.
As a researcher, Dr. Louie is a peer-reviewed journal reviewer and has published numerous abstracts and presentations, as well as having published several book chapters in urologic education journals. Dr. Louie has also held several clinical teaching appointments.
In his free time, Dr. Louie enjoys spending time outdoors snowboarding, fly fishing and playing golf and also enjoys watching Ohio State football.
