Dr. Michael Krishna Rao

Dr. Michael Krishna Rao completed a combined Doctor of Medicine (MD) as well as a Masters of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Miami as a member of the inaugural class in an innovative integrated program. He subsequently pursued a Residency in General Surgery where he excelled in minimally invasive surgery. He completed his training at an ABCRS accredited Colon and Rectal Fellowship at the OhioHealth Grant Medical Center. Dr. Rao returned to Hawaii to integrate his Colorectal Surgery and Public Health interests to work to reduce the burden of colorectal disease, both benign and malignant, in order to better the health of the populace.
