Dr. Michelle Joosun Kim, MD

I have been part of the Hackensack University Medical Center community for 18 years. During medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School), I rotated through Hackensack University Medical Center and later did six years of residency training here. I have been an attending in the Department of Urology at Hackensack University Medical Center for eight years.
When I started medical school, I knew that I was interested in surgery because I loved being in the operating room. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from some great urologists during my time in medical school. This experience provided me with the best of both worlds, allowing me to see patients in the office and perform advanced procedures in the operating room.
I love working at Hackensack University Medical Center Urology because of the camaraderie between our urologists. Our 10 attending urologists and nearly 40 staff urologists each have unique …areas of expertise that allow us to work together to provide the best care for our patients using the latest research and technology.
It has been exciting to watch Hackensack University Medical Center grow from a small community hospital to a world leader in urology and in many other medical specialty areas. I am proud to be part of a team that connects patients to the latest, state-of-the-art urologic care that they need.
