Dr. Mina Foroohar, MD

Mina Foroohar M.D. graduated from Hinsdale Central High School and continued her education at Northwestern University. She was accepted at Northwestern’s seven year Honors Program in Medical Education. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and then received her Doctorate of Medicine from Northwestern University Medical School. She completed her surgical internship and neurological surgery residency at Rush University – Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago from 1995 – 2001, acting as chief resident from 2000 -2001. Dr. Foroohar’s training included exposure and experience in diagnosis and treatment of primary and metastatic brain tumors with special interest in cranial base and complex tumor surgery. She also has a special interest in treatment of degenerative spine disease, spinal tumors, cord injury, and complex spinal instrumentation. She is trained in minimally invasive techniques for both cranial and spinal surgery.
