Natasha Cooper is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.She has 15 years of nursing experience in diverse settings within the psychiatric specialty, working with patients across the lifespan. Natasha believes in treating the person as a “whole” and not just a series of parts; getting to the root of the issue and not only treating the presenting symptoms.Psychiatric assessment, medication management, and brief psychotherapy interventions are her primary services. Natasha received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from North Carolina Central University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Liberty University. She then attended East Carolina University and received her Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification.As a Psychiatric- Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Natasha is able to incorporate psychotherapy into scheduled visits, and she aims to restore her patients’ to a place of health and healing through collaboration on an …individualized treatment plan of care. “I became a nurse because I wanted to make a difference in the lives of others and give back to the community. I decided to become a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I felt that it would give me the opportunity to do more for the population that I serve and assist them with their goals of healing while helping to ease their suffering,” says Natasha. “I appreciate the uniqueness of every individual I encounter and my style of practice ranges from prescribing up-to-date psychiatric medications or natural treatments to include but not limited to modifications to lifestyle, vitamins, supplements, exercise, nutrition, and stress management.”
