Dr. Fustino earned a degree in Chemistry from Wake Forest University and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Massachusetts. There he earned the Jacob Brem award for academic excellence and service in pediatrics. He completed residency in pediatrics at Eastern Virginia Medical School and fellowship in pediatric hematology-oncology at the University of Texas Southwestern. His laboratory research experience involved studying the molecular biology of germ cell tumors. His clinical interests include germ cell tumors, other embryonal solid tumors, and sickle cell disease.
