Noam Y. Stadlan, M.D. is a member of the Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch (CINN), Chicago Illinois; a founding member of the CINN Institute for Spine Care; an assistant professor of neurosurgery at Rush Medical College, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, Illinois; and associate medical director of the CINN program in the North Shore suburbs.
Dr. Stadlan is a board-certified neurosurgeon who has extensive experience treating a wide-range of neurological disorders. He specializes in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of patients with spine disorders, including degenerative conditions, disc diseases, trauma, and malignancy. He is an expert in the use of minimally invasive surgical techniques and artificial disc replacement surgery, which have both shown to reduce post-operative pain and speed the recovery time of spine surgery. He is also well versed in the application of spinal instrumentation techniques, which are used in complex spine reconstruction …procedures.
Dr. Stadlan earned his medical degree with honors in pharmacology, surgery, and psychiatry from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. After completing his degree in 1988, Dr. Stadlan moved to Missouri where he undertook a general surgery internship and neurosurgery residency at St. Louis University Medical Center. During his residency, Dr. Stadlan received specialized training in spinal instrumentation and stereotactic surgery.
In 1995, Dr. Stadlan joined CINN and in 2000, he accepted his appointment to the Rush faculty and medical staff.
Dr. Stadlan’s research interests are closely linked to his subspecialty practice. He is currently studying the efficacy lumbar disc replacement, the outcomes of surgical and nonsurgical interventions in degenerative spine disorders, and the development of new spinal instrumentation techniques.
Dr. Stadlan is a member of the American Medical Association, American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), and the Joint Section of Spine and Peripheral Nerves of the AANS and CNS.
