In 1979 Dr. Dean received his undergraduate degree in Physics at Howard University in Washington, D.C. He then attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Dean completed his residency in General Surgery at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio in 1984. After which he completed fellowships at both Howard University and Tulane University schools of Surgery and Urology. his training, Dr. Dean is board certified in Urology. Most recently, Dr. Dean held his own private practice of Adult and Pediatric Urology in Lufkin, Texas. Dr. Dean’s special interests include female urology and incontinence surgery, sacral nerve stimulation for overactive bladder, Botox injections for neurogenic bladder disease and prostatic hypertrophy, no-incision vasectomy, and implantation of testosterone pellets.
