Dr. Paul Brian Atkinson, MD

Paul Atkinson, MD, is fellowship trained in the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, including the utilization of electroencephalography (EEG), medication management of seizures and using the vagal nerve stimulator for the treatment of refractory epilepsy. He also has a special interest in treating other central nervous system disorders, including stroke and dementia.
Dr. Atkinson received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, and completed his neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at the University of Arizona School of Medicine in Tucson.
Dr. Atkinson has received the Dr. Francis M. Forster Award from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a National Epifellows Foundation Fellowship Award.
He is a professional advisory board member for the Epilepsy Foundation of Central and Northeast Wisconsin.
