My interests and expertise include diagnosing and treating many rheumatic diseases including, but not limited to: Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Inflammatory arthritis, Lupus, Sjogren’s, Scleroderma, (other) Connective tissue diseases, Gout, Pseudogout, Osteoporosis, Osteoarthritis, Inflammatory muscle diseases, and Vasculitis.
I typically do not provide long term care for chronic low back pain, chronic pain syndromes, or fibromyalgia. These are conditions which may be better served by other specialties including physical medicine and rehabilitation as well as pain clinics.
Additional interests for me include biologic therapies used to treat rheumatic diseases. I strive to provide patients with the most up to date education materials and treatment approaches. Injection therapies for arthritis such as “cortisone shots” and viscosupplements are tools I regularly use to reduce pain and inflammation for patients with arthritis, bursitis, and …tendinitis.
