Dr. Puja Kumar, MD

Dr. Puja Kumar is trained in adult and child and adolescent psychiatry. She is a board-certified pediatrician who, after five years of pediatric practice, decided to pursue her passion in psychiatry.
Dr. Kumar provides medication management in conjunction with supportive therapy in 30-minute follow-up visits. In addition, she believes in taking a holistic approach to each patient and emphasizes the impact of lifestyle, parenting practices, and family dynamics in treatment.
Dr. Kumar completed her BSc at University of Calgary and received her medical degree from St. George’s University in Grenada. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center in NY, and went on to practice pediatrics with the MedStar Shah Medical Group in Maryland. Dr. Kumar received her training in child and adult psychiatry at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center.
