Dr. Rachel Lee McKenna, MD

Rachel McKenna, MD  is a highly trained, double boarded psychiatrist offering both in-person and online appointments for your convenience! With her telemedicine practice, you have the opportunity to see your psychiatrist at home, your office or wherever you see fit. Dr. McKenna is one of three wonderful psychiatrists that make up a small private practice, MD Support LLC, based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. Here at MD Support, we value quality, individualized, patient-centered care that is delivered with warmth, empathy and compassion. In addition to our psychiatric staff, we also have an LCSW available for online visits to give our patients more options and access to care. Upon your initial visit, your provider will complete a comprehensive assessment and together you will come up with a treatment plan.
Dr. McKenna has been a leader for many years within the psychiatric community. She was selected to be on the Executive Committee of the regional American Academy of Child …and Adolescent Psychiatry Organization and also served as the quality improvement chair while at Washington University. While in Florida, she worked as a general and child psychiatrist and as medical director. Over the years, she has built a wealth of knowledge. She recognizes the power of psychotherapy and wants all patients to have numerous options for treatment. She is highly motivated to help children and families, and she hopes to be a resource for education and advocacy in the community. Because of her infectious passion and advocacy for her work, Dr. McKenna has extended these values within the MD Support team in order to continue her goal of providing comprehensive treatment for those in need.
About our Staff: Dr. McKenna and Dr. Larson are double boarded psychiatrists working with kids, adolescents and adults. Dr. Angermeier is a board certified general psychiatrist and Solana Cooper is a licensed clinical social worker specializing in CBT and DBT. Providing our patients with access to different types of care (as well as options) is very important to us at MD Support to ensure that patients are better able to navigate and dictate the care that works best for them. MD Support aims to work with individuals to assist them in reaching their goals.
