Dr. Martorano is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 40 years of experience in many aspects of mental health and addictions. He has worked in the local community mental health center, in family health as an internal behavioral health consultant, and in inpatient psychiatric and addiction hospitals. Dr. Martorano is comfortable and familiar with individuals at all socioeconomic levels and all walks of life. There is no one size fits all treatment approach, so Dr. Martorano tailors treatment to the specific individual, couple, or family. Dr. Martorano received his PhD in clinical psychology from Rutgers. He has worked with clients with emotional disorders like depression and anxiety, as well as those with chronic medical conditions and substance abuse issues. He uses mostly cognitive-behavioral techniques such as questioning inaccurate beliefs, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment, motivational interviewing, and stress reduction. Sometimes life sends us unexpected and …difficult situations that we never expected or encountered before. Dr. Martorano knows that it is important to first understand where a client is at in life, what their strengths are and what additional skills they need to increase their joy and functioning. If you are struggling, please consider making an appointment.
