Dr. Baum joined Cardiology Clinic of San Antonio in 1997 and has played a key role in its growth and success ever since. He and Dr. Fernando Triana pioneered the Cardio-Hospitalist Program at Methodist Hospital providing 24/7 coverage and care for heart patients in San Antonio and throughout South Texas.
Dr. Baum has a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology from Austin College in Sherman, Texas, and a medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, in Galveston, Texas. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas. Dr. Baum was chief resident from 1990 to1991 and chief fellow from 1993 to 1994. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Baum served as a staff cardiologist at Scott & White Memorial Hospital and Clinic and as an assistant professor at Texas A&M University Health Science Center College of Medicine in Temple, Texas until 1997.
Dr. Baum belongs to a number of professional organizations including …Texas Medical Association and American College of Cardiologists. He is board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases.
