Dr. Richard Shahram Obedian, MD

Richard S. Obedian, MD, FAAOS joined the North Shore-LIJ Health System in 1999 and is currently the Chief of Spine Service at Plainview Hospital.
Dr. Obedian earned his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his residency training at the Hospital for Joint Diseases, Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Obedian also completed a fellowship in Spine and Scoliosis Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Obedian lectures regularly and has published several journal articles.
Dr. Obedian is a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, the New York State Society of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Medical Society State of New York and the Nassau County Medical Society. |
