Born and raised in Cuba, Dr. Carmona received his Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in GI & Family Medicine at the Havana Medical School, and practiced as a physician from 2002 to 2009. In 2007, Dr. Carmona moved to the Republic of Namibia in Southern Africa, where for two years he provided critical medical services to roughly twenty-five thousand people living in rural villages and isolated areas.In 2009, Dr. Carmona immigrated to the United States. Dr. Carmona earned his Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Florida International University in 2014, and has been in practice ever since. He also obtained a pospost-master certification in psychiatric mental health and achieved his Doctoral degree in Nursing in August 2021. As a psychiatric provider, Dr. Carmona provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and continuing care to our patients. Dr. Carmona specializes in the treatment of all mood disorders, attention deficit & hyperactivity disorder (ADD / ADHD), and …substance use disorders. In addition to his duties.
