Dr Hollis completed a specialty year following residency at Washington University in St. Louis. His Fellowship in Shoulder surgery included speciality training in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder stabilization, shoulder replacement surgery, and reverse shoulder replacement surgery. Dr Hollis also participated in advanced training of knee disorders during his residency at the University of Utah which included ACL surgery, knee arthroscopy and knee replacement surgery.
His main focus of practice includes the treatment of all shoulder and knee disorders including arthroscopic rotator cuff repairs and shoulder replacement surgery, sports injuries, knee replacement surgery and fracture care.
Meeting patients and spending time getting to know them is what Dr. Hollis enjoys the most about his job. Nothing is more gratifying than treating patients and getting them back participating in the activities they love.
Dr. Hollis attended the University of Michigan …on a baseball scholarship. He was the first member of his family to attend college. He is eternally grateful that his athletic abilities provided him with the means and opportunity to study at a first rate academic institution.
Prior to attending medical school at the University of Michigan, Dr. Hollis played three years of professional baseball for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox organizations. Dr. Hollis’ love of baseball continues to serve him well in his role as an official team physician for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox organization.
Dr. Hollis loves living in the Colorado Springs community with his wife and four children. In his free time, Dr. Hollis coaches on his son’s baseball and basketball teams and cheers on his three daughters in youth sports. When he is not shuttling kids from one youth activity to the next, Dr. Hollis enjoys watching Michigan football and basketball, as well as hiking, running and downhill skiing with his family and friends.
