Dr. Ronald J. Stern is an Anesthesiologist and Pain Management specialist with MIMA. Prior to joining MIMA, he was in private practice for nearly 20 years and has held many prominent positions including President of Brevard Anesthesia Services, Medical Director of Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Services, and Chairman of the Holmes Regional Medical Center Code Blue Committee.
He graduated from Rush University Medical College in Chicago and previously was at the University of Guadalajara. After receiving his medical degree, he completed numerous residencies in Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology, and a fellowship in Pain Management. He holds American Board certifications in all three areas with a subspecialty certification in pain management.
Dr. Stern feels that there have been significant advances in the treatment of chronic pain and patients now have a wide variety of medications and treatments available for treatment. After initial diagnostic evaluations are …performed, he is then able to tailor a therapy plan to meet the patient’s specific needs and circumstances. He treats most pain conditions including neck and back pain or injuries, cancer-related pain, migraines, f ibromyalgia and arthritis.
