Russell Reeves is another of CVA’s superbly talented cardiologists with prior medical and cardiology training at University of Alabama at Birmingham and another 8 years as a faculty member of that esteemed institution. Dr. Reeves joined CVA in 1990. He practices general and preventative cardiology with additional unique experience in the implantation and management of cardiac pacemaker and defibrillation devices. Dr. Reeves is widely acknowledged in the southeast for his expertise and skill in extracting pacemaker leads and wires. He is extensively published and has maintained an extremely active interest in cutting edge clinical research. Dr. Reeves is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, Inc., the American Heart Association and the Birmingham Cardiovascular Society. He sees patients at the Colonnade office of CVA and performs procedures and visits patients at both Brookwood Baptist Medical center and Grandview Medical Center.
