Dr. Sara Phipps

Sara Phipps is an MA-level clinician working towards her LHMC licensure in Massachusetts. Sara has almost 2 years of experience working as an in-home therapy clinician working with families and children with extensive traumatic backgrounds. She has helped these individuals with oppositional behaviors, depression, anxiety, suicide ideation, trauma, PTSD, anger management, communication, and utilizing coping skills to regulate emotions. She is compassionate, understanding, and willing to work with her client based on their individual needs. Sara received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a concentration in Forensic Psychology at Southern New Hampshire University and received her Master of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health counseling through Southern New Hampshire University as well. Sara uses a mix of therapy approaches because she believes that every client is different and that every client should have their own customized treatment. Therapy approaches include …cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused, person-centered, and mindfulness-based techniques. Sara always maintains a positive approach and keeps her clients’ needs and wants in mind. Sara looks at the importance of building a good and honest relationship between counselor and client. This includes building off the strengths that the client is willing to bring to the table. By incorporating strengths and skills that the client already possesses, Sara and the individual can reach the intended goals.
