Dr. Baranoff received his Bachelor of Arts degree in natural science at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore Maryland, from which he graduated with honors. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University of Chicago, Stritch School of Medicine in Illinois, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and graduated with academic honors. He completed his surgical internship at Saint Joseph Hospital in Houston Texas, and his urologic residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He was certified by the American Board of Urology in 1987, recertified in 1996, and again in 2006. He became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons in 1988.
Dr. Baranoff is Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery (Urology) at the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Previously he was Chief of Surgery and Urology at Desert Springs Hospital and is past president of the Las Vegas Urological Society.
Dr. Baranoff’s special interests include …nonsurgical treatment for; incontinence, impotence treatment, urological cancer prevention & treatment and treatment of kidney stones. Dr. Baranoff maintains memberships in both regional and national medical societies including the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, Clark County Medical Society, Nevada State Medical Association and Las Vegas Southwest Rotary.
