Dr. Sergey Kachar is a Board Certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in Musculoskeletal
Trauma and Joint Replacement. He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago
with high honors and obtained his medical degree at Midwestern University. Dr. Kachar
completed his Orthopedic Residency at Midwestern University in 2006 as well as an Adult
Orthopedic Reconstruction Fellowship at University of Chicago. Dr. Kachar was the team
physician for the Palatine High School Football Team.
Dr. Kachar joined Northwest Orthopedic Surgery, S.C. 2007. His knowledge and experience
in total joint replacement is unprecedented. He has a valued reputation in the community
for helping patients return to their daily routine without complication after joint
replacement surgery in the shortest amount of time possible. He is particularly interested
in the repair, reconstruction and replacement of the hip and knee utilizing minimally

Dr. Kachar is a member of the University of Chicago Surgical Society, the Chicago

Osteopathic Association.
