Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:In Ghana, my father had a stroke at an early age. While helping to care for him, I felt helpless as my family and I had no medical knowledge. I became very interested in how the body functions and heals; therefore I decided to pursue a career in medicine. Being a physician allows me to help others when they and or their families need it most. What I do when I’m not seeing patients:I enjoy reading, playing tennis, watching movies, spending time with my family and volunteering on medical mission trips to Ghana, Africa with Building Solid Foundations and the Altersgate Church in York.
