Pain is an experience unique to each individual affected by multiple contributing factors, including medical illness, psychological issues, life stressors, financial constraints and previous experiences with health care providers. For this reason, I address each patient’s pain condition with a comprehensive, multi-modal approach which includes therapy, medications, and interventional procedures.

•Patient Cooperation, Compliance, and Active Participation in the Treatment Plan
Dr. Tariq completed his Internship in General Surgery at Union Memorial …Hospital, Baltimore, MD, and his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX. After graduating from BCM, Dr. Tariq completed Interventional Pain and Spine Fellowship at Pain and Spine Consultants. He is trained in the treatment of spinal disorders, joint and musculoskeletal rehabilitation and chronic spine related pain management.
Dr. Tariq earned his medical degree from J N Medical College – India, and his post-graduate in General Surgery. He worked as a General Surgeon from 2003, until moving to the United States in 2006.
Dr. Tariq is board certified with American board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and American board of Pain Medicine. He is also certified as a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP), the highest distinction for an interventional pain physician from the World Institute of Pain. He is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians; American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management; American Academy of Pain Management; and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
