I received my medical degree from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India. Following which I moved to the US and completed my general surgical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers) in Newark, NJ.
During my residency I completed a National Institute of Health (NIH) sponsored research fellowship studying the effects of trauma, bleeding and shock on various organ systems throughout the body.
I then pursued my fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at New York University Medical Center, one of the leading academic centers of vascular training. While there I had extensive experience in both open and minimally invasive (catheter directed endovascular interventions) in both arterial and venous disease affecting all parts of the body. Some of my research interests during my fellowship included mesenteric vein thrombosis and its long term effects.
My goal is to work with you, your family and your doctors with a team approach to …provide you the best and most evidenced based treatment for your vascular disease in the least invasive manner possible.
My wife is currently working as a gastroenterologist with St. Luke’s University Health Network and we are both very happy to be in the Lehigh Valley with our young daughter who just celebrated her first birthday. Outside of work I love to paint, travel and enjoy good food.
