A patient admitted to Holy Family for medical reasons (not including surgery or childbirth) who does not have a primary care physician or a primary care physician who practices at Holy Family, will be assigned a hospitalist who manages care for the duration of the hospital stay. Hospitalists work out of the hospital and do not see patients in an office setting.
