Dr. Shaya Taghechian, MD

A native of Atlanta, Dr. Taghechian received her bachelor’s degree in biology and chemistry from Emory University. She continued at Emory University, in the School of Medicine where she completed her medical degree. Following that, she completed a residency in surgery and urology at the University of Texas in Houston. She joined Georgia Urology in 2011.
In addition to general urology, Dr. Taghechian has expertise in prostate health, female urology, urinary control issues, and sexual dysfunction. Her award-winning specialization in both surgical labiaplasty and innovative non-surgical labiaplasty techniques has allowed Georgia Urology to expand into gynecological cosmetics and other sexual health enhancements for women.
