Dr. Shealyn Cyr, MD

Shealyn Cyr, MD is a board-certified Psychiatrist in Virginia who has been practicing since 2006. She completed her undergraduate work at the University of Texas at San Antonio, her medical school at Texas A&M University, College of Medicine, and her Residency at the University of Texas at Southwestern. Dr. Cyr believes in a balanced approach to psychiatric health through a model that integrates medication, wellness techniques, supplements, cognitive behavioral therapy, and thorough medical evaluation. Dr. Cyr specializes in the treatment of aging and older adults and is an expert in the field of geriatric psychiatry, to include diagnosis and treatment of dementia and cognitive impairment. She is also a member of the North American Menopause Society and has expertise in the area of the menopause and the perimenopausal transition.
