 Dr. Itzkowitz specializes in the treatment of periodontal disease and the surgical placement of dental implants. He completed his specialty training at Boston University where he studied Periodontics and Implantology for two years. He has been performing implant surgery since 1992. Dr. Itzkowitz is an Assistant Clinical Professor and Mentor in the Department of Periodontology and General Dentistry at Boston University where he has been teaching since 1994.
 Dr. Itzkowitz is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration, The American Dental Association, and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Dr. Itzkowitz has been lecturing dentists and dental hygenists at the Massachusetts Dental Society and the Annual Yankee Dental Congress since 2000.
