Stephen (Steve) Willmot is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 29 years experience working in mental health. Though much of his experience is in forensic mental health, he also has experience with adults and adolescents in outpatient and community settings. Steve has masters degrees in Counseling & Psychology from Troy University at Dothan, Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor credential. The last degree in behavior analysis trained him in a more direct and measurable approach to counseling and therapy. To Steve, who is still well-versed in the touchy-feely aspects of the counseling relationship, these more common-sense behavioral approaches provide the building blocks of the counseling interaction.. Life can sometimes feel like a maze with various paths that do not seem to lead to a solution. People can feel like they are stuck in these circumstances. An outside observer, especially …if trained and experienced, can help a person to navigate out of these behavioral traps.
