Dr. Steven Hopson received his undergraduate degree from Temple University and earned his Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. He completed a residency in General Surgery and served as Chief Resident at East Carolina Universitys Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Dr. Hopson is board-certified in General Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Hernia Society. He has been practicing in the Hampton Roads area since 1995 with TPMG General Surgery. Led by Dr. Hopson, the Bon Secours Hernia Center specializes in developing hernia treatments based on each patient’s individual needs using the newest innovations, including lightweight, high strength meshes that are custom-tailored for each patient to create tension-free hernia repairs.
