Dr. Steven Edward Ambrose, MD

Steven Ambrose, M.D., FACOG is board certified in both Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists and has been routinely listed as a top woman’s doctor in Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. Dr. Ambrose is the Medical Director of the Women’s Center for Advanced Imaging and Perinatal Medicine. Dr. Ambrose is available for consultations and/or management of all high risk pregnancy conditions, prenatal diagnosis, as well as routine obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound procedures. He has a special interest in multiple gestations, prior preterm births, second trimester loss, and cervical cerclage.
Dr. Ambrose graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston receiving both his undergraduate and medical school degrees. He then went to the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences for a residency in obstetrics and gynecology. Following that, he completed a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine …at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1990. Dr. Ambrose sees patients in our Evergreen Park and Orland Park offices.
