Dr. Steven Fredric Schutzer, MD

Dr. Steven Schutzer completed his general surgery internship at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital and his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Dr. Schutzer also served as a fellow within the hip and implant unit at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Dr. Schutzer serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Orthopedic Research Society, the Connecticut State Medical Society, the Hartford County Medical Association, Eastern Orthopedic Associates, International Association of Dance Medicine and Science, and the J.R. Geaddan Orthopedic Society. Dr. Schutzer is the Medical Director for the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute (CJRI) at Saint Francis.

Dr. Schutzer has been training in the Martial Arts (Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido) for many years. He also enjoys playing guitar, water-skiing and riding his motorcycles. He is an avid outdoorsman. He is a founding member and Co-Director of the Connecticut Joint Replacement Institute.
