A graduate of the University of Michigan, Steven J. Wees, M.D. attended medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan. Dr. Wees was a resident of Internal Medicine at the Henry Ford Hospital for several years before completing a Rheumatology fellowship at the University of Alabama. Among his accomplishments, Dr. Wees has been diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners, American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Internal Medicine-Rheumatology. He has also been President of Westroads Medical Group (WMG) and chairperson of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Committee at WMG. Currently, Dr. Wees serves as a member of the Physician Consultants Panel for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska and is an active participant in clinical protocols sponsored by the department of rheumatology at the University of Nebraska and private pharmaceutical drug study protocols. Dr. Wees has done vast research in internal medicine, and has written several …successful textbooks, journals and abstracts.
