Steven Arbit, M.D. was born and raised in the Detroit area. After graduating medical school from Wayne State University, he completed a three year Internal Medicine Residency at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. He then finished a second three-year residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) also at Sinai. During his final year he was named Chief Resident.
Since finishing his training, he has focused his practice to the outpatient care of the musculoskeletal system including non-operative diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal issues, spine care and Fibromyalgia. He has been trained in the pain management techniques of acupuncture, Botox injections and PRP.
His approachable manner and friendly smile, makes patients feel at ease.
Dr. Arbit is the Chief of PM&R at Huron-Valley Sinai Hospital. He is Assistant Professor in PM&R at Wayne State University School of Medicine as well as Michigan State University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is active in teaching students and …residents from both of those universities.
He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
He has been named by Hour Magazine as a “Top Doc” numerous times. In 2009 and 2011, he earned the most votes in the PM&R category.
