Dr. Steven Weston, MD

Dr. Weston´s career in medicine started in high school when he worked at a pharmacy delivering patients aids, oxygen tanks, and prescription drugs. He received his introduction to trauma and surgery by working at local hospitals as an emergency medical technician – ambulance while in college. Dr. Weston trained at Cabell Huntington Hospital and a large VA Medical Center during his surgery residency. He has spent the past 17 years of his career in the Charlotte, NC area with his wife Lisa and six children.
Dr. Weston has enjoyed extensive experience with pediatric patients, having trained with the only pediatric surgeon in WV. His program developed the only burn unit in the Tri – State area, so, experience with burns, skin grafting and skin care were extensive. Dr. Weston has performed thousands of endoscopic, laparoscopic and vascular procedures in private practice. He has over 20 years experience using YAG and KTP lasers and more recently, nitrogen plasma energy for skin …regeneration. He now staffs an advanced wound care center in Charlotte, NC equipped with hyperbaric oxygen chambers and the latest skin substitutes.
