Stuart L. Gordon, MD is a board certified, Rothman Fellowship trained Adult
Reconstructive Orthopaedic Surgeon with 25 years of clinical experience.
After serving as the Division Chief of the Hip and Knee Replacement Program
at Cooper University Hospital, Dr. Gordon is pleased to join Valley Forge
Othopaedics and the Orthopaedic Department at Phoenixville Hospital. Dr.
Gordon will see patients in offices in Phoenixville, Paoli and Limerick and
will be performing surgery at Phoenixville Hospital and Paoli Hospital.
Dr. Gordon Specializes in:
– Hip and Knee degenerative, rheumatoid, post-traumatic arthritis
– Knee injuries & pain, non-operative care & arthroscopy
– Hip / Knee total & partial replacement
– Complex revision joint replacement, including infections
– Quadriceps-sparing total knee replacement

Background:
Dr. Gordon graduated with honors from Brown University in 1977 with a
Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Psychology. He received his Doctorate of
Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College in 1981. After completing
two years of surgical internship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital,
Dr. Gordon entered the Orthopaedic residency program at the New York
Orthopaedic Hospital of Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York
City.
In 1986, he was awarded a Fellowship at the Rothman Institute in
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in adult reconstructive surgery, specializing
in the surgical treatment of the arthritic hip and knee. He was board
certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons as of 1989,
re-certified in 1999 and 2009. Dr. Gordon has been named a “Top Doc” by US
News and World Report and Main Line Today magazine. He has also received
multiple Patients’ Choice Awards.
Dr. Gordon had hip replacements in 2011 and 2013 and shares a common bond
with his joint replacement patients. These bonds allow Dr. Gordon to build
lasting relationships with his patients. He treats everyone with special
care and attention. He works collaboratively with multi-discipline care
teams to help each patient obtain the best result.
