Svetlana Yakov, MD, Ph.D. is a Psychiatrist who has a combined background in Neurology, Psychiatry, and Medicine.
Dr. Yakov is a participant in many clinical research projects and author of International/USA publications in Neuropsychiatry on topics of movement disorders, smell/taste/hormonal abnormalities, sensory gaiting, and sensory reduction methods in Adult Psychiatry.
Since Psychiatry Residency training at the University of Alabama of Birmingham (2012-2016), Dr. Yakov gained extensive experience in the management and treatment of resistant depression/bipolar disorders and suicidal patients with novel antidepressant medications and cutting-edge approaches (TMS, Spravato).
Dr. Yakov opened in Billings, MT clinic to help people with advanced depression, bipolar, and PTSD not responsive to traditional psychiatric methods of treatment. She also consults patients with schizophrenia, OCD, anxiety, ADHD, chemical and non-chemical dependency, and codependency.
She has a holistic approach… to patients, provides personalized treatment based on pharmacological genetic testing, and manages complex medication schedules.
