Dr. Teresa H.debeche-Adams, MD

Teresa H.deBeche-Adams, MD, FACS, FASCRS, is a board-certified colon and rectal surgeon with advanced fellowship training who specializes in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted colorectal surgery, colonoscopy and surgical interventions for colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, anorectal disease, hernia, stomas and pelvic health issues. A graduate of the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, she completed her general surgery residency at Ochsner Health System in New Orleans and joined AdventHealth Medical Group in Orlando where she completed a colon and rectal surgery fellowship. She is on the clinical faculty of the Florida State University College of Medicine and volunteers her time at the UCF College of Medicine and Camp Tiger for disabled children. Awards & Recognition Dr. deBeche-Adams serves on numerous national and international committees including the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES) Guidelines …Committee and Colon Task Force Committee and the International Transanal Total Mesorectal Excision (TaTME) Guidance Group. She is also a member of the AHMG Quality Improvement Committee, Associate Program Director for AdventHealth’s Colorectal Surgery Fellowship program, and Director of the Anorectal Physiology Lab. Differentiators Dr. deBeche-Adams’ practice spans a wide range of colorectal treatments with a specialty focus on rectal cancer, sphincter preserving surgery, fecal incontinence, constipation, and prolapse using minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, robotics, and TAMIS approaches. She also performs colonoscopies using easily tolerated bowel preps. Dr. deBeche-Adams was the first in the US to use the TransEnterix Senhance Robotic System in April 2018.
