Dr. Thomas Hays Bascom, MD

Dr. Thomas Bascom was born in Minneapolis and raised in Eugene. His hobbies include backcountry skiing, bicycling, gardening with his wife, Sarah, and parenting his two little rascals. He has participated in the Oregon Bach Festival and has impersonated Elvis.
He is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the Northwest Colon & Rectal Society, the Oregon Medical Association and the Lane County Medical Society. Dr. Bascom has lectured on colon and rectal and vascular surgery and maintains strong ties with his surgical fellowship colleagues in Gloucester, England.
His special interests include colon, rectal, vascular and advanced laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Bascom has extensive experience for abdominal aneurysm repair, anorectal disorders, rectal cancer and gastroesophageal reflux disease.
