Dr. Timothy Chen is a board-certified radiation oncologist and Medical Director of the Central Nervous System (CNS) program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He is also Director of Proton Therapy in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Hackensack Meridian Health.
Dr. Chen’s clinical interests include CNS stereotactic radiosurgery, lung cancer, prostate cancer, gynecologic cancers, breast cancer, and low-dose and high-dose radiation brachytherapy. Throughout his career, Dr. Chen has delivered numerous presentations, conducted research, and contributed publications to medical literature. He has also been featured in television and radio segments and news articles focused on cancer education.
Dr. Chen earned his medical degree from Santiago University of Technology and completed his residency in radiation oncology at New York Presbyterian Hospital – Cornell University, earning two terms as chief resident. He attended the Master of Health Care Management program at …Harvard University.
Dr. Chen is fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese. He is a member of the American Brachytherapy Society, the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, and the American College of Radiation Oncology.
