Dr. Pater joined Front Range Orthopedics & Spine in 2005 (now Orthopaedic & Spine Center Of The Rockies) after completing a fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He has received extensive training in reconstructive and arthroscopic techniques for the treatment of problems of hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University and his medical degree at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
