I was born in South Africa and attended the University of Cape Town. After graduating and completing an internship in Cape Town, I emigrated to the United States. I began my residency training at University of Cornell training hospitals of North Shore University Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering. I completed my training in Internal Medicine in 1986. I obtained my Board certification in Internal Medicine in 1986. I moved to Rockford Illinois in 1986 with my husband and practiced Internal Medicine until 2004. I obtained additional training in the specialty of Phlebology.Iin 2004 and have devoted my primary practice to this specialty to this very interesting and rewarding area of medical practice.
