Hello, my name is Dr. VANESSA HOUDEK and I am a licensed clinical Psychologist (Illinois) and certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C). I am the owner and founder of EECS.My clinical experiences have ranged to meet the needs of children, adolescents, adults and families with a variety of emotional and behavioral health concerns. My doctoral internship and post-doctoral residency focused on trauma therapy and assessment, including providing trauma treatment to survivors of childhood abuse, neglect, and other trauma; a deeply rewarding experience.​I have expanded my areas of clinical expertise to focus on women’s issues including trauma, grief and loss, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (postpartum). I often provide support related to anxiety and stress, family issues, relationship traumas, the transition into parenthood role, self-esteem and perfectionism concerns.The EECS Approach to counseling services is centered on creating a warm and supportive space.
