Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Nguyen is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Nuclear Cardiology. He attended Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan where he earned membership into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He also completed an Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Prior to joining the Seton Heart Institute in 2011, Dr. Nguyen held the positions of Chairman, Department of Cardiology and Director, Echocardiography Laboratory at St. David?s Medical Center. Dr. Nguyen?s special interests include non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and preventive cardiology. He remains an active member of the Travis County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association.
