Dr. Carnahan received his Medical Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in 1977 and moved to Tucson where he completed a General Surgical Residency at the University of Arizona in 1982. He served four years as a General Surgeon in the United States Air Force and then returned to Tucson in 1986. Dr. Carnahan is Board Certified in General Surgery and has practiced for over 25 years. He has been with Presidio Surgical Group since its inception in 1998. He has stayed abreast of recent advances in General Surgery and has particular interest in Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Procedures of the gallbladder, colon and spleen. Dr. Carnahan offers his patients considerable experience and expertise in the performance of both standard open operations and Laparoscopic Procedures.
