Dr. Wendy Liu is a board certified psychiatrist who prior to her medical training, worked as an AmeriCorps VISTA member. She decided to pursue a career in mental health after seeing the widespread impact it can have not just on an individual, but also within a community and generations to come. She completed her medical training at Tulane University in New Orleans and residency in general psychiatry at Loma Linda University in Redlands, California. She has worked both within local county and private clinics and has experience providing interventional psychiatry treatments such as TMS and Spravato counseling. She treats all major psychiatric illnesses, and specializes in mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, women’s mental health, and aims to provide culturally sensitive mental health care. Dr. Liu believes that good patient care requires mutual learning, teamwork, and incorporation of holistic care such as identifying lifestyle changes, and psychotherapy. She prioritizes …working with patients to ensure they understand their diagnoses and can make informed choices about their options for treatment, resulting in a unique treatment plan for each individual.
