Dr. Wilfred Reed Kindermann, MD

W. Reed Kindermann, MD graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at Wills Eye Hospital and attained fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus under Drs. Robison Harley and Joseph Calhoun at Wills Eye Hospital. He completed additional training under noted cataract surgeons Charles Kelman of New York, the inventor of phacoemulsification; Turgut Hamdi of Wills Eye, member of the first team in America to implant an intraocular lens, and Oram Kline, the first surgeon in South Jersey to perform phacoemulsification.
