In 1985, Dr. Summers received his Medical Degree from University of Tennessee College of Medicine; Memphis, TN. He received the highest academic honors in medical school and graduated first in his class. After medical school, he completed and OB-GYN Internship at the University of TN, Regional Medical Center in Memphis, TN. After his internship, he completed his OB-GYN Residency at University of TN, Regional Medical Center and was elected to serve as Chief Resident during this time. He has been practicing for over twenty years and is currently in private practice in Birmingham, AL at St. Vincent’s East.
