Dr. Wynndel Todd Buenger, MD

I grew up locally, and attended SLU for undergraduate, and medical school. I was trained in anesthesia, and pain management at Cleveland Clinic. I have been practicing in the Alton area for 20 years. I was employed at Alton Memorial Hospital as an anesthesiologist from 1996 to 2007, and also during this time I practiced pain management. In 2006, opened Piasa Pain center with my partner, Dr Brummett. We treated patients as Piasa Pain center from May 2006 until June 2014. In June 2014, a great opportunity arose to join Comprehensive Pain Specialists, which is a large pain group that originated in Tennessee. I enjoy all areas of pain management, especially the interventional aspect, such as injections, spinal cord stimulators, pain pumps, Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty, and Radiofrequency Ablations. I also teach Spinal Cord Stimulation, Intrathecal Pump implantation, Radiofrequency Ablation, Kyphoplasty, Vertebroplasty, Discography, and Percutaneous Discectomy to other physicians.
